At AKAFI, we advance education and financial independence in underserved communities in The Gambia. We provide resources to orphans, women, and widows to create a sustainable future for all.

Our Core Projects

Support for Orphans

We provide school uniforms, supplies, and fees for orphans in The Gambia. In 2023-24, we helped 39 orphans aged 5-10.

Since inception, AKAFI has supported:

56 orphans with school fees, uniforms, and supplies.
1,484 women in community gardens across Gambia.
2415 seed packets distributed to women, growing 101 vegetable varieties.
